Friendly Reminder About Late Arrivals

Our school doors close at 9:00am, when the second bell rings. Students arriving after 9:00am are considered late.

If your student arrives after 9:00am, a parent or guardian must bring them inside and sign them in at the office.

For your child 's safety, please do not leave your child outside the school doors unattended.

Thank you for helping us keep all of our students safe!

ATTENDANCE

You can now report your child's absence directly through Parent Square!

Open the Parent Square app or website
Select Attendance
Select your child
Choose Report an Absence
Select the date and reason for the absence.
Add a note, if needed
Click Submit.

You can also call the school at (360) 988-9423 to report an absence. Dulce Sanchez or Amy DeWaard will be happy to assist you.

All unreported absences will result in a call from the office, Unreported absences that we are not able to contact you about will result in an Unexcused Absence on your child's record.

Fall Conferences

We are excited for the upcoming opportunity to meet with you and your child for Parent/Teacher/Student conferences that run form October 6-8th. These days will be early release for all students.

If you have not signed up for your child's conference, please use the ParentSquare post from your child's teacher to sign up for days and times that work best for you.

Families requiring interpretation will have been pre-scheduled.

Dance Classes by Debbie Jones

Team Jones 100% Dance

Fall 2026

Debbie Jones will be offering dance classes on Mondays, October 5 – November 23 with a performance on the last day of class. Classes will take place in the gym at Nooksack Elementary School.

Jazz 3:30-4:15 (Ballet or Jazz shoes) for students Kindergarten and up.

Tap 4:15-5:00 (Tap shoes) for students 1st-5th grade

Ballet 5:00-5:45 (Ballet shoes) for students Kindergarten and up.

Line Dancing with a family member 5:45-6:30 (any shoes) for students and their family member(s)

Cost is $80, due at the first class payable to Debbie Jones. The family member that is taking the line dancing class is $40 per person after the initial $80 for the child. Family members can be anyone in your family (parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, close family friends, etc.)

Families are responsible for their own transportation. Please use the front doors to enter and leave the building.

Students will wear appropriate clothing; leotard and tights, athletic wear or dance attire (dance shorts or pants) without being too tight or too baggy. Jeans and jean skirts are not allowed in class.

ASB Cards!

Elementary ASB cards are once again available to purchase at the school office for $11.00. The cards provide entrance to all Nooksack Valley High School home sporting events. Cash or check only. (exact change only!)

Annual Student Update Now Open!

We need your help. To assure that we have accurate and current information about your student(s) and family, we ask that you log into your Skyward Family Access account and complete the Annual Student Update Online form there. You will find the Annual Student Update tile under each of your student's name. Please complete this for each student. This is also where you would provide your permissions for the sharing (or not sharing) of your student's demographic information to various entities/agencies (such as pictures, name and grade to local media, vendors, higher ed, military, etc.) If you need help with your Skyward login, please contact the school office staff.
