A Message from the Principal
Hi Families,
We are so excited to meet with you at our family conferences this week. This week is about getting to know you—the families and kids we work with each day. These conferences are structured a little differently than the parent teacher conferences in the spring. Rather than having a focus purely on academics, teachers will have questions for you—about your family, about the things that you love about your kid, about the things you hope for them, etc. There will be a time for you to ask questions and get information about how your kids are doing academically at this point, however, we are in the middle of a trimester so we don't have all the data we would typically have at the end of trimester.

Many families have wondered if they should be bringing their kids. That is entirely up to you. In the spring, we do student led conferences where students are required to be in attendance, but the family interview conferences are really led by the family. If you want to bring your kids, feel free, but if you'd rather keep them at home, that's fine too!

Thanks for your participation. Partnerships with families are so important to us and we know kids do better when there is a strong home and school connection!

Sarah
